Mad Hatters

Here are a few of us at the mad hatters table in Hotham Park on our day trip to Bognor. With this fabulous weather we had two minibuses laid on, lunch at the fabulous Age UK Laburnum Centre, and an afternoon of Music Hall delights at the Alexandra Theatre. Thank you to Churchers College for loaning us the additional minibus which meant that more people could come along.

Our commitment to FareShare received a terrific boost with a cheque presented to Rosemary, our Chair, for £500. This was most gratefully received from the Masons Lodge of Friendship. Our grateful thanks to them for their generous support to fund transport costs to collect surplus food from the FareShare scheme and use it for our twice weekly lunch club. It is a real positive step to reducing food waste.

Dementia Friends

We are delighted to be part of Dementia Friends Petersfield by providing information sessions during April and May to our staff and volunteers. This is an initiative to ensure those with dementia feel supported by their local community. Our thanks to Ruth Sander, Dementia Champion, who ran these sessions.

Royal Tea Party

We held a Royal Tea Party in May. Attended by over 30 of our “regulars” and guests our prewedding afternoon tea took place in a lovely setting beneath Butser Hill. Special thanks to Sue and Jane Atkinson of East Meon for hosting this event and for the delicious scones and brownies, Ann Johnson and her daughter for the divine Royal cupcakes and to Sheridan for her super sandwich selection.
